Why A Graduate Certificate?

A graduate certificate program is often the right choice for those who want to add an advanced credential but don’t want to commit to the time, cost and effort of a Master’s degree. These short courses of study are designed to meet a specialized need – in this case, UX/UI Design. Our two-semester program is perfect for career-changers or those who want to gain a competitive edge in their career with an advanced credential in a thriving field. Our certificate programs consist of graduate-level courses, and credits earned can typically be applied towards a Master’s program. Our program offers:
  • Preparation- Our program offers students a solid foundation in user experience and user interface design; they’ll learn how to apply those principles to products, services, systems, processes and experiences.
  • Flexibility- Students may join any class session on campus or online, and classes are recorded and saved for later viewing.
  • Scope- The program consists of 4 courses from the UX/UI & Interaction Design MS degree program. Candidates will learn about the relationship between interactive media and human perception, including the following aspects of UX/UI Design:
    • Understanding Users
    • User-Centric Design Thinking
    • Ideation
    • Research
    • Prototyping Techniques
    • Aesthetics
    • Accessibility
    • Customer/Competitive Research
    • Presentation
  • Opportunity- Upon completion, students may choose to complete the remaining 8 courses and graduate with an MS in UX/UI and Interaction Design.
  • Location- Our campus is in the heart of New York City, offering unparalleled opportunities for employment, experience and more.
