Touro Graduate School of Technology Graduate Assistantship Program (TGSTGAP)

The Touro Graduate School of Technology Graduate Assistantship Program (TGSTGAP) is a signature initiative designed to provide Touro University’s graduate technology students with paid, career-building graduate assistantship opportunities within the university.

TGSTGAP connects graduate students with internal departments seeking to advance technology projects and initiatives. Participants will work directly with Touro staff and faculty, applying their academic knowledge to real-world challenges and gaining valuable experience that enhances their professional development and marketability.

Key Features

  • Paid, graduate assistantship positions (up to 20 hours per week)
  • Hands-on experience with technology projects, data analysis, project management, IT support, and digital transformation initiatives
  • Flexible work arrangements: in-person, remote, or hybrid, as determined by departmental needs
  • Mentorship and professional development: regular supervision, feedback, and career workshops
  • End-of-semester evaluation: Reflection and assessment to support student growth

Eligibility

  • Open to graduate students in good academic standing (students must maintain a 3.0 cumulative grade point average), enrolled in Touro University’s Graduate School of Technology
  • Students may only hold one Graduate Assistantships position at a time
  • Graduate students with Federal Work Study eligibility are encouraged to apply

For Spring 2026 Start

Application Period November – December 2025
Department Interviews Early – Mid December 2025

End of Semester Evaluation May 2026

Program Requirements

  • Set clear goals and expectations with supervisors at the start of the program
  • Attend regular feedback sessions with supervisors (weekly or bi-weekly)
  • Contribute significantly to a departmental technology project or research initiative

How to Apply

  • Graduate students should complete the online application during the application window
  • Submit your resume and cover letter
  • Departments will review applications, conduct interviews, and extend offers to selected candidates

Additional Information

  • TGSTGAP positions are semester-based; continuation is not automatic but may be possible at the department’s discretion
  • Funding may come from departmental budgets or Federal Work Study, as applicable
