Does it take longer to complete the program if I do not have a design background?
- If you do not have a design background, you will have to spend an additional semester taking up to three preparatory courses. Contact your program director for more information.

What are the salaries for someone completing this degree?
- According to the Robert Half Salary Guide, Creative and Marketing starting salaries vary greatlyfrom $60,000 to $120,000.Developers can earn up to $140,000. To view this guide, please visit HERE

Am I required to provide a portfolio prior to being accepted to the UX/UI program?
- A portfolio is not required. GST accepts students who are career changers. If you have a portfolio, we always welcome you to share it with us for our review.

What is the difference between the UX/UI program and the WAD program?
- The UX/UI & INTERACTION DESIGN program is for students who want to learn how to design
responsive websites. These are websites that restructure themselves depending on the device that
they are viewed on to provide a better user experience. These students learn to code these
websites using front-end scripting languages like HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
The Web and App Development program is for students who learn back-end coding and languages such as Java, C#, PHP, and SQL. These students learn to take the designs that the creative people made and develop programs that functionally achieve what the user requests. -
What is the tuition for the MS in UX/UI & INTERACTION DESIGN program?
- $850 per credit, or $14,025 for average annual tuition (avg of 16.5 credits per year). $28,050
total tuition for 33 credits.
